Coresystem FREMO Clock

On this page you'll find detailed information of the FREMO clock.
Hint: All schematics and board layouts are done with Eagle. Please download the Eagle Freeware Version, if you want to read the data.

09-Sep-2007: Bugfix release to V1.0B01 -> TimeFactor was not written correctly.

17-May-2007: First version of hardware and softare released.

Hardware

Here are the infos concerning schematic and pcb.

Prototype (17.05.2007)

The final prototype is up and running fine. The Eagledata as well as the partslist are in the SVN archive in the filesn "102_m_Quarz_m_LN_KK.sch, ...brd, ...xls". As PDF they are here: schematic, placement, partslist, a picture (jpg), operating manual (german only), setup german only)

Our friends from Hannover provided an
overview of the external connections
and a
proposal of a housing (german text only).

Characteristics of the coresystem:

Onboard powersuply; connect a modell railroad transformer: "ready"
A microcontroller for the core logic, ATMega168
Connector for LCD (usualy 2*16 character)
Connector for 4 pushbuttons
power cicuit for two clock lines
Loconot© interface (HW only)
Debbuging port via USART
TWI port

Software

This software will be developed in several steps. Actually the following are planed:

Step 1: Normal operation

Version V1.0B01

09-Sep-2007: Bugfix release to V1.0B01 -> TimeFactor was not written correctly.

17.05.2007: released as version 1.0B00 .

With the following characteristics:

Boot / Shutdown (Save and readn the parameter from EEPROM)
Adjustable timefactor (1,0 bis 11,9)
Starting time. The clocks can be set by program to 00:00 or starting time. They automatically stop there.
Display the actual time
Quick run
Quick run to 00:00
Quick run to starting time
Set actual time to 00:00, for synchronizsation with the "Nebenstellenuhr(en)"
Adjust pulse length

The actual developement is in the head of the SVN archive.

The released version is: V1.0B01 and as hexfile.

Version V1.1

Even in November 2007, this alternate program version was created under the premise, aligning conduct and operation of the clock kernel to Fremoclock.

Version V1.0B01 has been extended by the following functions:

Current time
Target time
Autostop, if target time has been reached
Reverse polarity each second at quick run
Change of time reduction during clock running

Halfway through the year 2012, these stage of development has become part of the FREMO Com SVN.

The released version is: V1.1 also as Hexfile, as well as the user manual (german only).

Version V1.3A00

This Release contains bugfixes. The source code has more cleanup and uses more features of the current compilers. A Doxygen documentation is added.
